Academic Year- 2022-23
“A Good Education is a Foundation For a Better Future.”
It’s my pleasure to present the Annual Report of our Bal Bharti Vidyalayafor the year 2020-21. The school was established in a rural area aiming at imparting quality education through the medium of English. It was really challenging in this rural area. Still we cater to students from all sections of society and have actively worked in accordance& guidance of Central Board of Secondary Education.
Though 2020-21 was really a tough & challenging session due to Covid-19, still we managed Education with the help of Virtual/Online classes. We also conducted Examination/ Different types of Assessment by sending the students individual Exam link with student’s name, class, roll & sec already mentioned.
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS :-
CHANGES AND DEVELOPMENTS:-
Few of the changes and infrastructural developments have taken place in the academic session 2020-21. Those are as follow-
*Computer Laboratory has been renovated.
* New tiles
have been installed in toilets & washrooms.
New water purifier have been installed for fresh drinking
water.
* New painting
of the School has been done.
* Many old materials
have been replaced with new ones in
Bio , Chemistry &
Physics Lab.
* School Auditorium has been beautified with some new decorations.
NEW METHOD FOR EXAM / ASSESSMENT DURING COVID-19 & LOCKDOWN PERIOD:-
A new software was made to conduct Online Examination & Assessment. Limited time was assigned for the Exam. After completion & final submission , instantly students were getting the right answers & their marks. Later students were issued computer generated mark sheet of those Online Exam.
PARENT TEACHER MEETING:-
*Usually PTM’S are held on the result day of every examination to discuss about the improvements made by the children , but in the Academic Session 2020-21 most of the discussions were virtual or telephonic.
*Once parents of Class - X were called to interact with the teachers about the learning process and behavioral approach of the students at home.
*After the month of July continuous interaction of the Principal and Vice- Principal with the parents, guardians & students about Competency Based Education, Experiential Learning , Activity Based Learning & National Education Policy-2020.
SPECIAL COUNSELLING CLASSES FOR THE STUDENTS & GUADIANS:-
*With the spreading of Covid-19 pandemic, school continuously counseled counseled the students & gave positive & moral boost up. Besides all the teachers advised them how to be safe & keep others safe, about the precautionary measures to stop the spreading of Covid-19 & moreover how to manage education during pandemic.
* *Special discussions were arranged on NEP-2020 so that students can come out from rote learning and keep emphasize on Experiential Learning, Research Oriented Learning , Project based learning & moreover Competency / Skill Based Learning.
* *Some special discussions were arranged by the Counselor of the school & Vice- Principal about how to cope with stress and anxiety during Covid-19 & Lock Down periods. Few other discussions were there on “Child Psychology” and
* “Adolescence Period and it’s effect.”

* CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES :-
* At present there is no hard separation in between curricular and co-curricular activities , special emphasis was given on CCA because Bal Bharti Vidyalayabelieves that education should consist of series of enchantments ,each raising the individual to a higher level of awareness and understanding.
* WORKS TOWARDS THE ENVIRONMENT:-
* During lockdown period the whole country experienced the downfall Environmental Pollution level. The reason behind it was clearly explained by the Science Teachers and students prepared lots of projects on it. In the school campus many flower trees and saplings were planted for healthy and beautiful Environment.
* CELEBRATIOS AND FUNCTIONS:-

* Due to Covid-19 Pandemic most of the celebrations including School’s Annual Day , Independence Day , Republic Day , The World Environment Day , Teachers’ Day , Gandhi Jayanti , Children’s Day have either been celebrated virtually or been celebrated physically with limited staff, teachers & students. Anuual Sports Day has also been celebrated in a very limited way.
* BLENDED LEARNING MEASURES:-

* However there were challenges to overcome. Though soon after the announcement of lock down , the school started Online Classes but in the
* beginning guardians/students were not easily convinced to welcome this new mode of Online Learning. But gradually they started participating. The effectiveness of Online Learning varied amongst age groups, because kids got distracted easily. In order to full benefits of Online Learning , concerted efforts were taken by the teachers . There were integration of art that demonstrated higher engagement , increased motivation and made children truly fall in love with learning . Small videos were prepared by the teachers and were uploaded on You Tube as well as shared through Whats App group of the children. A survey was taken by the teachers in order to know about the percentage of children attending and non-attending the Online Classes and measures were taken to assess the the learning gap. Some of the measures are as follow:-
* *In Covid-19 lock down period our teachers offered their relentless work to provide online study materials .
* *Principal & Vice- Principal continuously spoke to the parents and students to know the reason for not being a part of Online Classes.
* *Class wise Whats App group was created for the students as well as for the teachers.
* *Teachers sent lesson based videos, PDF files of C.W and activities & thus updated the children.
* *Teachers sent an example for each activity to the students.

* *An Online Feedback form for Online Classes was also shared on School’s
* Website.
* * Guardians & students were encouraged to use the School’s Official Website for the maximum to get get any Updated News , Events , Notice, Syllabus , Exam Schedule etc.
* SPECIAL PROVISION REGARDING FEES WAS GIVEN TO THE GUARDIANS DUE TO LOCKM DOWN:-
* Inspite of lots of hardships & financial crisis most of the guardians were given 2 - 4 months Fee Relaxation. Besides in the lock down period guardians were not
* pressurized to give fees instantly ,rather first 3 months ’fees were distributed
* with other months.

* I hereby hereby conclude by saying that Success is a journey , not a Destination and I want all to come along with us in this journey . Together we will win and make a difference for our young minds . We are waiting for the next academic session . Hope, We will bring a lot of good programs, activities , training and will conduct here for children to develop their intellectual , emotional , physical , mental and spiritual health in accordance with their age and class .
